MBIX is pleased to welcome local Manitoba ISP Broadband Communications North (AS46280) as its newest member. Broadband Communications North, or BCN, is an established ISP providing residential, business, and enterprise connectivity services in rural Manitoba.

They have connected to our 167 Lombard switch at 10 Gbps. Peering has been set up between the MBIX route servers and BCN on IPv4 and IPv6, so existing route server members won’t need to do anything to receive BCN’s routes.

It’s excellent to see another Manitoba ISP keeping its customer data within Manitoba as much as possible, and offering their clients the best performance sending data to other MBIX members.
